Total Annihilation Compatible Windows Vista

Hi,I have a legal copy of Windows 10 Pro Technical Preview, and on my two months old very fast pc i tried today to install Total mayhem. This is so far what i did run to get it going:- Total Annihilation GOG installer- TOTALMb692.exeAfter that i copied from file TOTALMb706.zip, the file rev31.gp3 to the C:Program Files (x86)GOG.comTotal AnnihilationTotal Mayhem folder. (overwrite)Total Annihilation runs fine, but when i try the Total Mayhem, it gives an error and quits.

Is there a solution to this error?Thanks.PlasmoidThunder17 Feb 2015 1:34 PM. After playing for several hours i found it working almost all of the time, but there were sometimes crashes, it seems to run slower the more units are fabricated and on my Intel I7 4790 with 16Gb memory and GTX970 running on 64 bit Windows 10 it seems to have problems. It works as long you don't alt-tab switch to desktop and try to get back, the screen is black, in the background you'll hear the music but the game could not be accessed unfortunately. The framrate you requested is between 78 and 80. Did not build much more then a few solar collectors and metal extractors. The resolution is 1980. 1024, the highest i guess.gamma18 Feb 2015 11:20 AM. It's probably 1920x1080 (aka 1080p), the native resolution of your monitor (and therefore the highest resolution of your system).

If you had a higher-res monitor the game would allow you to go higher res - it just looks at the windows graphics subsystem and displays what your hardware will support.Yep the alt-tab problem is the same as Windows 8 - theoretically you might be able to get it back by hitting tab, o (for options), v (for video) then left arrow a few times to adjust something. Haven't managed to get that to work yet tho:)Hm I wonder what the cause is of the other problems you've been having.Stchurdak18 Feb 2015 2:59 PM. @Gamma, you are right about the resolution, wonder why i said 1024:rollie:The sequence TAB-O-V-left arrow did after a few hits what you told, i got my screen back. Too late, because i held the shift key too long pressed down and -ZAP- there was windows interfering about shiftkey rules. Did not shut that down, forgot i think, and i killed the game i was playing. I know now the sequence in case this happens again, or if i need to do something boring.:)Thanks so far for the advise, it's been a great help. Also the framerate went down to 58 when i played another map. Doesn't matter.gamma19 Feb 2015 1:35 AM.

I tried to use the Windows key, but within Windows 10 that key does still nothing. I guess they forgot all about it, but someone have been mentioning it to Microsoft via the Windows Feedback option in Windows 10. Whoa, a lot of windows.;).Interesting. So when you're on the desktop, does pressing the Windows key bring up the Start menu?

It does on every previous version of Windows. Maybe they've just changed it so that it doesn't interrupt full-screen apps? That would be a good idea. Alt-tab should be the only way to interrupt a fullscreen app.Stuart9820 Feb 2015 4:06 AM.

It only gives the message i told earlier.

Hope that Microsoft is still working on their pride and joy, i know that i do at this time:lol::lol::lol:Mr.Killer14 Mar 2015 9:09 AM. I am Administrator on my Windows 10 Pro 64-bit computer. I went to the Programs and Features control panel and clicked the 'Turn Windows on or off' link at the top left. Then selected Legacy Components from the list and installed DirectPlay.

I then opened the properties of the Totala.exe file and told it to run in Windows 95 mode. The game runs fine now. I'm using the Cavedog CD version of the game.Have you tried with the unofficial patch and some mods? What were the avg FPS?All times are GMT. The time is now 3:42 AM.
