This is Atrian. Developed as a more streamlined version of my previous custom-made typeface, Arctik, it's available in 2 weights, and is completely free to use!More than 2 years in the making, Atrian takes inspiration the applied fuzziness in physical space of neo-grotesque fonts like Helvetica or Rail Alphabet, applied to more modern and humanist curvature, inspiration coming from fonts like Roboto, and Frutiger. The font appears human, and hand-crafted, with tiny irregularities in the thickness and curves adding to its character.Atrian includes a full upper and lowercase alphabet, with numbers, punctuation, and some extras. It's available in 2 weights, all included in the zip package, alongside the promotional artwork and some advice and information on licensing.Enjoy!

New Rail Alphabet Light Download

From memory:FGW, FCC, Merseyrail and ATW still use Rail Alphabet.SWT and EMT use Brunel. NR used to use Brunel but seem to be using a slightly different typeface on their newest signs (e.g. At Reading and Edinburgh, and presumably New Street).Chiltern use Akzidenz. This font was designed in the 1890s and is out of copyright.London Midland's font seems to be custom-made, as can't identify it. The few Central signs remaining use Arial.

NWM signage (including the Metro) uses VAG Rounded (although new posters at bus stops use something slightly different).Northern and Virgin both use Frutiger.Former NXEA and NXEC signage uses Helvetica. Neither EC nor GA have introduced new signage to replace this.c2c and former WAGN signs use Highway Gothic, a slight modification of the American road-sign font.Scotrail used Rail Alphabet up until recently, but now use Officina (which was introduced along with the First-less saltire branding).Southern and Southeastern I have no idea.Note that in most or all cases it's a different font to that used in publicity (e.g. ATW uses Frutiger, First uses Helvetica, Virgin uses Neo which is also Stagecoach Bus's corporate font along with Gill, etc etc.).
